The direct tapping of hot water seemed to be something, that's why I ordered this type. I use it to make tea and I drink tea very hot. An annoying thing is that the first cup (after rest) is not hot but lukewarm warm. Immediately after tapping the first cup it is a bit hotter (measured 85 C at 100 C setting). You will not save 100 C with this machine anyway. Also, the set amount of water is not very accurate. Seems to be a problem with these types of machines as I read this with other brands as well. Device uses less than 1 watt in standby but makes a high-pitched beep sound (probably power supply).
