Why proven quality with a new cable. I already use the same construction cables on a daily basis with a normal USB-a connection and these remain good. Much better than the original Apple cables. Meanwhile the 5th Duratec cable that we have at home (and all still completely fine without tears or kinks in the cables). They are a bit expensive, but they also last a long time. The extra length is a nice bonus. And people see the cables too. They stand out just a bit more than the normal black or white cables that you have at home. Without the need for a bright color for this.
