The WD Red Pro WD141KFGX 14TB is a hard drive for use in a professional NAS. By professional we mean that the NAS is used intensively in a business environment. A rack server NAS is a good example. A NAS like this often has many slots, so this hard drive is designed to work in a RAID setup with up to 23 other hard drives. This drive can run 24/7 without difficulty and it can withstand the vibrations of a NAS. In addition, a WD Red is more silent and gives off less heat. Thanks to 256MB cache, you can open frequently-used files faster. The Red Pro 14TB has a rotation speed of 7200RPM, so you can transfer files faster than you could with 5400RPM. WD offers a 5-year warranty on this product.
