After more than a year, one of the smoke detectors went off spontaneously twice, without a candle burning. After the second time I was forced to take it apart and cut the battery wire. Whether it's because of a spider or not (I think they do put on gauze here to prevent that), the inside of the detector cannot be cleaned without demolishing so from that moment you can throw it away.
