If you like to go all out with your meals, then the SMEG SI2M7953D induction cooktop with 2 flexible zones is suitable. You can combine 2 separate cooking zones at the touch of a button, creating a single large one. You can bake a whole fish in a Dutch oven or grill prawns on an elongated grill. Each cooking zone has a timer. This adds up the elapsed cooking time, so you can see how long your egg has been cooking. You can set a kitchen timer for al dente pasta. When the time's up, the cooktop gives an acoustic signal. In addition, the cooktop has automatic pan recognition. When you place a pan on the cooktop, the controls of that cooking zone light up. You can heat up the right cooking zone right away.
Note: the required 5-pin Perilex connector isn't included. Make sure to order it separately. The connector has to be connected to the cooktop by an electrician, because the connector of each outlet is different.
