Because I wanted to shred a whole (moving) box filled with paper once. I already read in some other reviews that multiple sheets at the same time are an issue, so I put in 1-2 sheets at a time. That went fine, until after about 10 sheets I could hear that he could hardly turn the blades. The container wasn't even half full, so that wasn't the issue... As it turned out: the chips that come out of the bottom of the shredder seem to get stuck. That "plug" of paper that is then under the blades hinders the shredding. The only way to solve that is by manually removing the plug/snippets (be careful because the sharp blades are there too). After a few hours removing the chips from the blades every 10 sheets, my fingers were a bit battered, and I stopped shredding.
It was no special paper that I shredded: white A4s (old invoices/administration) and bank statements (idem). So this was definitely not a good experience: the device doesn't do what I expected it to do. Speed wasn't the issue, crashing was.
