In the meantime I have had the device at home for a week and have already tried it extensively in various (light) conditions. The lens I already had and use on this camera is a so-called superzoom from Tamron, with a zoom range of 14-150mm, which, due to the crop factor specific to mft, corresponds to 28-300mm in 35mm terms. The camera is quite large compared to my previous one, but that is precisely what makes it comfortable to hold. The most important control buttons are well within finger reach and the device is pleasant to operate. The camera responds fairly quickly, although focusing sometimes takes a bit longer. Fortunately, you can easily switch to manual focusing so that more difficult-to-focus shots can be easily made. In automatic mode, the exposure is nicely controlled, although some noise does occur at higher ISO values. Setting the exposure manually is child's play with the two control wheels, and the preview gives you a good impression of the effects. The built-in image stabilizer does an excellent job, even at maximum telephoto reach (in my case: the Tamron lens in combination with a teleconverter x1.7, which by 35mm corresponds to a lens of approx. 500mm) delivers handheld shooting still sharp images. What I think is a huge advantage is the rotatable screen, so that recordings from different viewpoints (frog's perspective or over the heads or even from flat on the ground straight up) are no problem at all. The power consumption also seems to be not too bad so far so that you do not have to deal with an empty battery very quickly. Only downside: the device has no built-in flash, so if you want to work with a flash, you have to purchase one separately. But luckily I don't flash a lot and I already have a matching separate flash, so that wasn't a big shortcoming for me. In short: with this device you get a nice camera at home that is nice to shoot with, both by the novice and by an already more advanced photographer.

The journey is now over, and I have not regretted the purchase, on the contrary: nice sharp photos with bright colors (much better than the G3!) and easy to handle. The device fits comfortably in the hand and is still small enough to easily take with you on a (air) trip. And after a short time to get used to it (changed location of various buttons and menu structure), this camera turns out to be very handy: the most important working methods can now be activated by pressing a button instead of having to scroll through menus. And the built-in stabilizer also does an excellent job at longer telephoto ranges. Which is certainly handy since you have to multiply the specified focal length of the lenses (due to the sensor size of these cameras) by 2, so that a 150mm lens suddenly becomes a 300mm.
