You really notice a world of difference with this soundbar, especially if you have a Samsung TV with which you can turn on Qsymphony. In my eyes (ears?) it is also the same as most 3.1 speaker setups but the surround effect beats them. You can probably get a 5.1 setup for the same price that gives much better sound, but that is a lot of puzzle work and my living room already has no room for it.
