With the Polar Pacer Pro on my arm, I have all the functions I need while running and I train in a targeted manner. This sports watch is really suitable for sports, not as an extension of my smartphone.

Measure your fitness Through a VO2 max measurement I gain insight into my current condition. I could do this running or walking. I opted for a measurement via a walking test, because I am not a fanatic runner. It turned out that I definitely need to start training again! I really like that the watch also monitors your health at night. This gave me insight into my sleep and how I can improve it. Very handy as I can never get out of bed.

Training for endurance During exercise you can see in which heart rate zone you are training. That way I know whether I'm not running excessively fast, or whether I need to take it up a notch. Very handy since I want to run a 5 km race. I see my score via the Running Index, which indicates whether I am making progress.
