Eufy Video Doorbell C30

I bought this camera in combination with the chime. The description from Coolblue states that the SD card in the chime can store the images. (So if the camera is stolen, you still have the images). After a lot of contact with the Eufy helpdesk, it turned out that the C30 can only store images on the SD card of the camera!

The battery was empty within a few days. After a lot of contact with the Eufy helpdesk, I adjusted the settings. Now the battery works for a week. That is much less than the promised 3 months!

In the meantime, the return period has expired ....

I have mixed feelings about this. The image is razor-sharp, responds quickly to movement and ringing the doorbell, but the connection keeps dropping despite the fact that the distance between the router and the doorbell is at most 1 meter. There is only a window between the router and the doorbell. I keep failing to get an SD card to work because the doorbell requires that it format the SD card and that fails for reasons that are unclear to me. The SD card works fine in my computer, so that is not the problem. For now I will leave it as it is because an alternative is immediately a lot more expensive. I would recommend the doorbell if you are looking for a not too expensive doorbell and have no possibility to connect it wired.

Use it via the Homebase 3 and mainly as a camera at the gate next to my house (side entrance). Does what it should do, am satisfied with it. Hangs now 14 days and consumes +/- 1% battery capacity per day. (December)
