Prints come out pretty fast. However, I am pleasantly surprised with the scanning capabilities. The first thing that is great is being able to scan double-sided. This Brother scans both sides in one pass. Duplex is a little slower than normal scanning, which I feel is super fast. A stack of documents is read and scanned in no time. Also plenty of options to scan to. My previous HP Envy 7840 only allowed me to scan to USB; this Brother does that too, but can also e-mail scans to user-definable profiles for different users. I already saw that it can scan to FTP, but better still, it can just scan to a Network location. In other words, you create a folder on your NAS for the scans of this printer, you load a stack of papers, and in no time they are on your network where you can pick them up from your computer to process (e.g. in an administration program or archive). .
