The HP 230 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse QWERTY is a set that is suitable for daily use. You get started quickly. This set does make a little more noise than other keyboard and mouse sets.
First impression
This set has a simple packaging where everything is self-explanatory. When I open the box, I find several batteries, the USB receiver, the mouse and the keyboard. When opening the mouse and keyboard, I immediately see which batteries belong in them. After installing the batteries, I put the USB-A receiver in my docking station and the set is immediately connected. It is also striking that the mouse and keyboard weigh little. So you can easily take them with you to another workplace or desk. In addition, both the mouse and the keyboard have a small storage compartment for the USB receiver. So I always have a place to keep the receiver.
To work
After unpacking I started working with this set almost immediately. What immediately stands out is that the keys are softly pressed while typing. So they are not noisy either. In addition, I decide myself at what height I use the keyboard. At the back there are two legs that fold out, raising the keyboard a bit. With the multimedia hotkeys I can quickly control the volume of my music, which works nicely. This way I can easily listen to my favorite songs while working. Plus, I can enter numbers quickly with the numpad. The mouse does provide a different user experience than the keyboard. Clicking and scrolling feels harsh compared to pressing the keys on the keyboard. I also notice this in the sound. The mouse makes noise when clicking and scrolling. I therefore find it more suitable for working from home than for use in the office. Despite the sound, the mouse is comfortable to hold and I can work with it all working days. With this HP 230 set you have a great keyboard and mouse for your (home) workplace.
