The Shokz OpenFit 2 are light earbuds that I hardly feel. Even though they are not in my ear, I hear full sound and a lot of detail. I don't easily put the ear hook around my ear.
Open design
I have to get used to the open design with the hook that clamps around my ear. I don't put them in quickly, but after a few times it becomes a bit easier. In the beginning it feels like the earbuds can fall out at any moment. After wearing them for a while, I get used to it and I hardly feel them anymore. This is due to the light design.
Balanced sound
I am very satisfied with how clear, full and detailed the sound is. Because the earbud hangs in front of my ear canal, I expected the sound to come across less well. Fortunately, the sound sounds just as full as when an earbud is in my ear. The sound sounds balanced. I don't hear certain tones being heard above the others. I actually like this, because music is easy to listen to. I can also clearly hear voices during a podcast. If you like a powerful bass, I do not recommend these earbuds. With techno or dance music, the power is lacking, which means I do not get completely into it.
Easy to use
The earbuds have buttons, with which I pause my music or podcast. The buttons are in a convenient place on the earbud, so I can find and use them immediately. I set which actions I want with the number of times I press them in the Shokz app. For example, I pause the music with 1 press. I also set multipoint pairing in the app. Now my laptop and phone are connected, so that the sound immediately switches to the right source. I find this useful, because I often switch between music on my phone and a series on my laptop.
