With the Apple iPhone 13 I take sharp photos in every situation. Thanks to the energy-efficient A15 Bionic chip, the battery lasts a whole day.
Recognizable design
iPhone 13 has almost the same design as iPhone 12. The only difference is the smaller notch and the camera lenses on the back. These are larger and are now at an angle from each other. Also with this device, the lenses protrude and are therefore vulnerable when you place the device on the table. You can easily solve this with a phone case. Despite the glass back, the device fits firmly in my hand. I don't have the biggest hands, so I can't reach the top of the screen, for example. This is possible with the smaller iPhone 13 mini.
Lightning-fast A15 chip and a longer battery life
Thanks to the new A15 Bionic chip, the overall experience is slightly faster than with the A14 Bionic chip that is in my own iPhone 12. Apps such as Netflix and Instagram open slightly faster and switching tasks is smoother. The biggest advantage of the new energy-efficient A15 chip is the improved battery life. I have enough battery left in the evening for, for example, checking my social media and playing a game.
Bright and sharp 6.1 inch OLED screen
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR screen is of high quality and slightly brighter than that of the iPhone 12. Thanks to the OLED technology, images are razor-sharp and black is really black. In addition, the colors are natural thanks to TrueTone. iPhone 13 supports HDR formats HDR10 and Dolby Vision. This gives films and series an even better image quality. The colors splash off the screen in a series like Planet Earth. The screen does not have ProMotion technology, which is the case with the Pro models. For example, this screen refreshes 60 times per second instead of 120 times. The image is therefore less smooth.
Improved lenses and a new video feature
On the back is a normal lens and a wide-angle lens. Both lenses support 'Night Mode'. As a result, I also take sharp photos in the evening. The image stabilization of the wide-angle lens has been improved. With iPhone 12, photos with that last lens were sometimes blurry. That actually never happens anymore. A new function is 'Cinematic Mode'. With this video function, the focus automatically switches to the object that moves or is in the frame the most. It makes my videos more professional and cinematic.
