I find the Philips EP3341/50 a user-friendly machine. It is immediately clear how the device works and I clean all parts easily. In addition, I tailor a cup of coffee exactly to how I like to drink it. The milk foam is a bit on the thin side.
Get started
I take the machine out of the box, fill the water reservoir and set the water filter. After I have also filled the machine with coffee beans, I immediately make a cup of coffee. The color display clearly shows how I can make the cup of coffee I want. I choose from a number of different options, from a double espresso to a café latte.
LatteGo milk system
With the special milk system I can make a cappuccino at the touch of a button. The warm milk immediately comes into the cup. I notice that the foam is on the thin side. When I have made the cappuccino, I remove the LatteGo system from the machine. I immediately rinse it under the tap and attach the system back to the machine. I find that very useful, because this way I don't have to spend a lot of time cleaning.
Adjust coffee to your own taste
I can easily adjust the coffee strength and quantity on the display. I also set the amount of milk myself. For a cappuccino I set the aroma strength slightly higher. For an espresso I turn it down a little. This way I tailor every cup of coffee exactly to how I like to drink it.
Also decaf option
When I feel like having a cup of coffee in the evening, I like to drink decaf. This is not a problem thanks to the ground coffee compartment on top of the machine.
Maintenance
Just like the LatteGo milk system, I can also easily clean the rest of the machine. Thanks to the water filter, I only descale the machine after a year and a half. In addition, the machine rinses automatically after use. I do have to grease the brew group so that the machine continues to do its job properly.
