After ordering the faltering Kobo saga 2x (slow screen and black selection buttons when creating folders, and changing Bluetooth), I still opted for the Era, how nice you can put everything on this device, it doesn't complain about a subscription or logging in or accounts ! So you can also throw your own audio books on it without any problems, so it will definitely go on holiday. You can program all screen taps yourself, set the button functions and you can also fix the screen in all positions. The fonts are somewhat more limited, but you can install them yourself. The light of the Era is fine, but I've been used to kobo for years, so I still have to get used to it. All in all a nice reader with many functions without being tied to platforms.
