Compare the TCL C84 and the C74

On the TCL84, you can see vibrant colors and high brightness thanks to QLED. This really stands out in a jungle documentary. For example, you can see subtle green tones in the feathers of a tropical bird. In addition, basic colors like a red beak stand out thanks to the high brightness. The Mini-LED technology ensures that the television has high contrast values. Mini-LED provides thousands of small lighting zones, and each one can dim or light up. This gives you a vibrant image, with black parts being truly black.

On the TCL74, you can also see vibrant colors thanks to QLED. But it does have a lower brightness than the C84. With an ocean documentary, you can clearly see the sun shining through the water and the pink and orange of the coral pop on your TV screen. Due to the Full Array Local Dimming, the television has a lower contrast than the C84. It also has its own lighting zones, but a lot fewer than with Mini-LED. This means that you often see a glow around light objects on a black background.

The TCL84 has a 70W audio system with a subwoofer from ONKYO. Thanks to the subwoofer, the TV plays music concerts well. You can clearly hear the melody of a bass guitar. This also makes the sound in movies powerful. For example, an explosion sounds deep instead of shrill. If you want to enjoy more spatial audio, we recommend a soundbar with at least Dolby Atmos. The 70W speakers fill an average living room with sound, but they're not powerful enough for larger home cinemas.

The TCL74 has a 30W audio system without a subwoofer. Audio without a subwoofer sounds dull without a bass. This makes the audio system especially suitable for listening to conversations. If you watch a lot of concerts and action movies, we recommend a soundbar. A soundbar gives you powerful sound, which provides a better movie experience. With a soundbar, you can also fill large spaces with sound much more. This way, the entire room can enjoy it with you.
