How does Apple upgrade work?
Buy a new iPhone, MacBook, iPad, Apple Watch, or AirPods and have it delivered to your house. Transfer all your data from your old device to your new Apple device. Then go to the store to trade in your old device within 30 days. You'll receive the trade-in value as a discount on your new device. You'll receive the amount on your bank account within 7 working days or on your account as CoolblueCredit.

Your old Apple Watch is worth money. That's because you receive a discount on a new one when you trade it in with us. You can only do so in one of our stores. We sell many different Apple Watch models in various sizes and colors.
AirPods upgrade
Trade in your old AirPods with us for a discount on your new AirPods or CoolblueCredit. We'll give your old AirPods a second life or we'll recycle them. You only receive a discount when your AirPods work and are in good condition. Note: we only provide this service in the Netherlands and Belgium.

What's the value of my old device?
We'll take a look at the condition and model of the device. The expert in the store determines how much you receive. Tap or click on 'Calculate your trade-in value'. You'll receive an estimate of the trade-in value.
Can I trade in my device without a new purchase?
Yes, that's possible. If you have a smartphone, tablet, MacBook, Apple Watch, or AirPods you don't use, simply hand it in at one of our stores. If you do so, the trade-in value of the device turns into CoolblueCredit. We'll add this credit to your account within 3 working days. After that, you can use it for a new purchase on our website or in the store. It doesn't matter what kind of product you buy with the CoolblueCredit.
What's CoolblueCredit?
With CoolblueCredit, you can buy products on our website or in the store. The credit is linked to your account and will automatically be deducted in your shopping cart. You'll have the credit in your account within 3 working days after trade-in. It's valid for 1 year.
Which devices can I trade in and where can I do this?
You trade in your smartphone, tablet, MacBook, Apple Watch, or AirPods in the store with us. It doesn't matter which brand you trade in, except for MacBook, Apple Watch, and AirPods. We only accept MacBook, Apple Watch, and AirPods models. You have up to 30 days after your purchase to trade in your device.
What happens with my device after I trade it in?
If the device is still in good condition, we'll give it a second life. If it's not, we'll recycle the device. This makes Apple upgrade sustainable and leads to less electronic waste.
Do you have to have purchased your device at Coolblue to be able to trade it in?
No, that's not necessary. You can also trade in your smartphone, tablet, MacBook, or Apple Watch with us if you bought it at a different store.
