What do the washing symbols mean?
You have new pants or a new sweater and you wonder how hot you can wash them. Always check the laundry label on the inside of your clothes. This will indicate the washing instructions. You read what each washing symbol means and which wash cycle you can use best in this article. This way, you keep your laundry nice for longer.
Wash at 40 degrees
- Washing symbol meaning: wash at up to 40°C with a normal cycle.
- Suitable washing cycle: all cycles up to 40°C.
- A cotton shirt, for example.
Carefully wash to 40 degrees
- Washing symbol meaning: wash carefully at up to 40 degrees with a cycle for delicate laundry or an anti-crease cycle.
- Suitable washing cycle: delicate laundry, cycles at 20, 30, or 40 degrees.
