What size stove do you need?

Which size stove you need depends on the space in your kitchen and what you want to prepare. Standard stoves are 60cm wide. If you have a small kitchen, a 50cm stove is a good choice. Do you have a larger kitchen and do you cook often? A 90cm stove is more suitable for you. In this article, you can read how to make the best choice.

Regular stove

Normal: 60cm wide

Most stoves are 60cm wide, which has space for 4 regular cooking zones. The oven usually has a 70L capacity, which is large enough for large oven dishes and preparing a whole chicken. Most kitchens have space for a 60cm wide stove. If your kitchen is small, choose a smaller size.

Narrow stove

Narrow: 50cm wide

If you don't have much space, a narrow 50cm stove is a good option. This usually fits next to a kitchen unit. Or, place it in a smaller kitchen in a studio or student house, for example. If the stove has a storage drawer or cover, you have extra space for your kitchen utensils. A narrow stove does have less oven space, between 50 and 60L. That's large enough for an average oven dish or frozen pizza. You also don't have space on the cooktop for 4 pans at the same time.

Wide stove

Large: 90cm wide

If you regularly cook extensive meals, a 90cm stove is a suitable choice for you. Thanks to the 5 or 6 cooking zones, you have more than enough space for all your pans. The oven capacity is over 100L, which gives you enough space for multiple oven dishes underneath and next to each other. Keep in mind that you need to have enough space in your kitchen. A 90cm stove is much wider than the standard 60cm and takes up a lot of space.
