In a ceramic stove, there are electric heating elements under the glass plate. These heating elements give off heat and heat the cooktop and pans. But the cooking zones must first heat up after being switched on. So you can't start cooking and baking right away. You can tell which cooking zone is hot by the red lights. A ceramic stove is more affordable than an induction stove or gas stove.
