Why do you pay more subscription costs the first time?
When we withdraw the subscription fee for your Coolblue white goods subscription for the first time, the amount will be higher than the usual monthly fee. That's because you also pay for the days you had the product before the first payment period started. You can read how this works exactly in this article.
First payment
The upcoming 27th of the month, we'll withdraw the subscription fee automatically. The first withdrawal consists of the subscription fee of the current month and the costs of the next month. That's because you always pay your Coolblue subscription a month in advance. The first withdrawal is higher, because you pay for the upcoming month and the month during which you already used your new product.
An example
For example, you purchase a washing machine subscription on 14 March. The subscription costs € 20.99 per month. We deliver your washing machine on 15 March. Your subscription starts from this date. The first complete subscription period starts on 27 March, but you already had the washing machine on 15 March. That's why you also pay for the time from 15 March to 27 March. That's € 8.40. If you add this to the standard monthly fee of € 20.99, you get € 29.39.
