Induction cooktops
A built-in induction cooktop is fast, safe, and energy-efficient. With this electric cooktop, you have a lot of different options, such as a flexible cooking zone and a keep-warm function.Ceramic cooktops
The cooking zones turn red with a glass ceramic cooktop, so you can see if it's hot right away. This electric cooktop does stay hot for a long time, so you have to keep that in mind.Gas cooktops
With a gas cooktop, you can see how high or low the fire is right away. This way, you can cook by feel. Cooking with a built-in gas fire is less safe than cooking with induction.Freestanding cooktops
You can place a freestanding cooktop everywhere on your counter. This way, you can decide how much space you have and how large the cooktop has to be.

How do you measure the required cutout width?
The niche width is the width of the interior of the space you place the cooktop in.
Measure from the left side to the right side of the niche with a measuring tape. Keep the tape measure tight. You now know the width of your niche. The top of a cooktop is always slightly wider than the niche itself, because the edge rests on the countertop.
- Measure the niche width
- Measure the niche depth
- Measure the thickness of your countertop
