How do you choose the right extraction rate?
To keep all the kitchen odors from your kitchen, it's important to choose the right extraction rate. The maximum extraction rate is in cubic meters. How much your range hood needs depends on the size of your kitchen. If you have an open kitchen, you need an extraction rate of at least 600m3. For a small kitchen, a range hood of 300m3 is enough.
Which type of exhaust system do I need?
There are 2 types of exhaust systems: exhaust system and recirculation. With a range hood with an exhaust system, cooking fumes are directed outside through an exhaust system. With recirculation, you have a range hood without an exhaust. The range hood sucks up the air, filters it, and blows it back into your kitchen. You need special carbon filters that purify the air for this. You have to replace these about every 6 months.

A range hood is energy-efficient if it has energy label A+ or higher. Most of our energy-efficient range hoods have A++. This way, you can save up to € 240 on energy costs over the whole lifespan. Your energy costs are lower and you do your bit for the environment.
