A stainless steel frying pan is strong and can't easily get damaged, but stainless steel doesn't conduct heat as well as cast iron or steel. The design of a stainless steel frying pan is more modern and less classic than a cast-iron frying pan, for example, so it'll fit well with your other stainless steel pans.
