The Canon EF-S 60mm F/2.8 Macro USM is really worth every penny! It arrived on Wednesday last week, and because of the good weather I unpacked it and used it immediately. And that... was DEFINITELY worth it! He feels solid. I had looked up reviews of various lenses and it came back regularly that this lens is a very good macro lens to start with. Nice is that during manual focusing, you also get an indication that the lens is effectively focused. The USM motor allows you to focus very quickly and quietly in AF. There is one downside: it does not have an Image Stabilizer, this would be nice especially for hand-pulling, although this is not necessary for a tripod.

But otherwise it is highly recommended! :D
