According to our sander expert
The small pad makes this eccentric sander suitable for sanding and polishing small and hard-to-reach surfaces.
Thanks to the low vibration value of 5m/s, you'll hardly feel the vibrations in your arm, even during intense sanding.
The on switch can be locked so you don't have to press it continuously.
The sanding speed is always the same because there's no variable speed control.
Sandpaper isn't included.
The Metabo SX E 400 is a compact-sized and lightweight eccentric sander, that can smooth any surface. Thanks to the combined rotations and vibrations of the backing pad, you'll see the result quickly. The RPM is variable, which makes the SX E 400 suitable to sand different surfaces: besides sanding wood, you can also use it to polish the paintwork of your car. Thanks to the Power Control System, you won't make any scratches when the active machine is put against the surface, so even the layman can polish a car without ruining its paint job. Thanks to the compact size of the sanding pad, the Metabo SX e 400 is very flexible to use and very suitable for contours and inner and outer curves.

The machine sands quickly, even in hard-to-reach places. Due to the small diameter, the machine is perfectly usable for window and door jambs. I bought it myself for sanding narrow fascia parts

Machine produces a strange motor noise, different from my Metabo orbital sander.
