Does what it has to do. There is a button on the adapter with which you can set whether it is 15, 16 or 19V. By default it is set to 15V. My laptop needed 19V so you have to change that. If it is set too low, the adapter will work but will not charge the battery. So something to keep an eye out for. Works fine for the rest.

Almost immediately I noticed that the smooth plastic had no grip at all on surfaces. This was very easy to fix by taking my strips of rubber feet out of the cabinet and sticking them over the 4 points of the screws. Result: no more slipping and better ventilation.

Speaking of the latter, the adapter feels warm after heavy use, but by far not as hot as the original variant. In terms of sound it is also less; a soft hum is heard during silence.
