I bought a Jura because I wanted a device that lasts a long time and makes some good coffee. I have had another brand before, which was already "worn out" after 3 years. That was 350 euros written off very quickly, because repair would cost more than 100 euros.

I have high expectations of this Jura in that respect, the one at work is almost 10 years old and that of friends is even 20 years old. And they work every day. As long as you regularly have the (expensive!) maintenance performed, you will enjoy it for a long time.

Making coffee is super easy: you press the button and coffee comes out. The reservoirs and waste bin are well matched in size and are easy to fill or empty. to empty. And they are big enough that you don't have to do that too often.

During use, it is noticeable that the mill and brewing group are not the quietest, a Saeco or Siemens/Bosch is quieter. The quality of the coffee is really great: lots of flavour, a nice cream layer and excellent milk foam.

Cleaning the coffee section is very simple: a cleaning tablet every so often, and descaling every so often. I don't think Jura cleaning products are cheap, and with the soft Dutch water, the water filters are really too expensive for me (descaling is the alternative). The other minus is that the device only rinses itself when it turns off automatically. You can set the time from fifteen minutes to 15 (!) hours, but if you want to turn it off yourself because you want to leave the house, then it won't rinse itself first. You have to start it manually via the menu first. Or you just leave the thing on until it turns itself off... It would be more convenient if it all went automatically.

Conclusion: excellent coffee, very easy to use, and I like it in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend it if you want to spend that much money on a coffee machine.
