When I was looking for a new pair of softboxes I chose this pair for a few reasons.
They are cheap and produce good light.
First impression:
The softboxes are packaged cheaply, except for the excellent packaging from coolblue, and come in a carrying bag. This is a nice addition, but one that I probably won't use.
The stands of the softboxes are cheaply made. they are metal, with plastic here and there, but this didn't bother me for the price i paid. What I would recommend to people who want to purchase this product is to buy some sturdier tripods separately.
Ease of use:
setting up the softboxes was easy, there is an easy folding system in the softbox that ensures that you can easily unfold them. I just had to screw in the lamps, put a diffusion cloth on it and that's it.
The softboxes are easily adjustable in height and angle, but if you use them very high, they become a bit unstable due to the cheap tripods. But this is not a problem for me as you will probably rarely place them at this height.
These lamps can be operated with an on and off switch. This in itself is easy, but a dimmer or 2 switches for a group of lamps would be easier, because sometimes I have too much light. But you can of course also do this by unscrewing 2 lamps.
Experiences:
The light these softboxes produce is very good. I can close my aperture more thanks to these softboxes, and I also have less noise in my images. I mainly use these softboxes for product videos, and they are very good at it.
it would be nice if we could adjust the color temperature, but at this price it doesn't bother me that it wasn't included. Some disadvantages are that they produce a lot of heat, and that the tripods are somewhat cheaply made.
Conclusion:
But in my experience, this is a really good bundle for the price. Okay, they're not perfect and a little cheap made here and there, but that doesn't outweigh how easy they are and what they produce at this price.
