Nice holiday lens for my D90. I had an old Nikon 70-300 with some mediocre lenses. My 18-105 is a pleasant lens, but a bit too limited range for safari. Knowing that Coolblue is not difficult about returning, I bought it and looked critically. No regrets. Light sensitivity is slightly less at 300 mm, but VR compensates for this and sometimes you have to boost some ISO. No disturbing distortion (the old 70-300 though) lens, not too heavy and barely larger than the 18-105. Downside: no lens hood, despite the same diameter, the lens hood of my 18-105 cannot be attached, it does not click into place. The site refers to the HB 58 but it is too big so I have to send it back (belongs to the heavy predecessor of this lens)! It must be the HB 39. Are you still there? Handy to know. Delivery further out of the art, ordered late at night, delivered the next day.
