Boughth to replace an older DS412+ without expecting huge differences. I was wrong, the new processor makes it blinding fast for indexing or encrypted data. Now i can use this feature without impact on performance. The standard 2GB (vs my previous1GB) is also very usefull in my case with plenty of apps installed on it. I wouldn't ever choose another NAS thanks to Synology OS. DSM is easy, fast and open. This box isn't just a Network Storage, it can deliver many services for enterprises or just power users. The only negative point is the noise level versus my older one. It's good for a work environment, but you can't let such in your room.
