According to our pan expert
This pan has a high-end build quality, so it's sturdy and lasts a long time.
Le Creuset provides a lifetime warranty on this pan.
The drip rings in the lid distribute the moisture in the pan evenly, so your dish stays tender.
A cast-iron pan is relatively heavy and less easy to move around than an aluminum pan.
You can prepare dishes for about 4 people in the Le Creuset Signature Oval Dutch Oven 27cm Matte Black. It's the ideal pan for a family or if you like to eat with friends. Thanks to the oval shape, you can easily stew elongated pieces of meat, such as pork tenderloin or chuck roast. The pan is made of enameled cast iron. The heat conduction is very good and the inside is smooth, so that ingredients don't stick to the pan. Cast iron is also a durable material. If you maintain the Dutch oven properly, it will last for years and maybe even generations. Thanks to the even heat build-up and distribution, the pan is very suitable for stews. You can make a vegetable stew or slowly cook a whole chicken in beer, for example.
Durability
Cooking with a Le creuset is fantastic! Everything works, nothing is burnt (eg sausages), the taste is better than making a stew in a regular pot! Soups, mashed potatoes, stews, game, casseroles, everything tastes delicious in this! I already had a Creuset, but with 2 boys growing up, you simply need bigger pots.
