According to our HiFi speaker expert
The THX-certified surround set contributes to an intense movie theater experience.
The downward-pointing subwoofer spreads bass tones equally throughout the room.
Because of the power of the sound and the size of the set, it's not suitable for use in small spaces.
The Onkyo SKS-HT978THX 5.1 set fills large rooms with powerful, THX-certified cinema sound. The set consists of 2 front speakers, 2 rear speakers, a center speaker, and a substantial, active, 125-watt subwoofer. Together, the passive speakers provide a rich, detailed surround sound for movies, series, and games. The downward-facing subwoofer distributes bass tones evenly throughout the room, making them sound even livelier. Connect the speakers to a THX receiver for an intense movie theater experience without leaving the house.
Good sound, hooked it up to the Onkyo 646 Receiver (which is one hell of a Receiver by the way) .. you must have a decent room. the speakers are quite large. my TV is not hanging on the wall and then you can not put the center speaker in front of the TV, what I could do with my old sony speaker, I now have it above the TV. it doesn't matter for the sound .... the Booster is very large so you really have to have the space for it. connecting is a breeze.

The sound quality is very good, but I returned the set because it was a bit on the large side for my living room. Very good service from Coolblue!
