Works to charge batteries of electrical appliances. Appliances with a motor (hairdryer, shaver,...) only work if they also have an option for 110V.

Good product. Just a pity that the grounding is not usable. In Japan, for example, we often had sockets without earthing, so we couldn't use this adapter.
