The Beats EP Black's remote control is optimized for Apple and doesn't completely work with Android. You can't adjust the volume when you play music from an Android device, for example.

According to our headphones expert
The flat cord is less likely to become entangled than a round cable.
You call hands-free with the microphone in the cable.
You can easily control the volume of the music via the volume control in the cable.
The controls in the cable are optimized for Apple and don't work for Android devices.
The Beats EP is a basic pair of headphones you can use to listen to your favorite music at home or on the go. The flat cable won't tangle as easily as a regular, round cable. This means you won't need to untangle the cable in the morning. The cable features a remote to change songs, adjust the volume, and activate Siri. That means you can leave your phone in your pocket or bag when skipping to the next song. Use the internal microphone to make hands-free phone calls. Done listening? Store the headphones in the included storage pouch.
Sound acccording to the expertThe Beats EP has a sound profile with emphasis on the bass. Due to a peak around 125 Hertz, the bass sound slightly dominates the sound of these headphones. The medium-high tones are balanced. This allows you to hear the instruments and vocals as the artist intended. Note: these headphones don't have an equalizer that allows you to adjust the sound manually. You're dependent on the factory settings.

Bought the headphones for my husband. He always got really annoyed when I was typing or playing a game. Now, with these headphones, he no longer hears this. He's happy...not happy.

I use it when I am studying for my studies. Works very well, also shuts me off better from my surroundings than earphones do. Sound is great and it looks nice on your head too.
