According to our compact camera expert
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2000 is a bridge camera with extensive video possibilities. It offers unlimited recording in 4K quality until your memory card is full. With the 4K Photo function, you can pick one single image from a video and store it as a high-resolution picture. The FZ2000 is equipped with a microphone and headphone jack. That way, you can instantly check the sound quality of your recordings. Thanks to the integrated neutral density filter, you can easily take pictures and record videos with a low shutter speed. The high-grade Leica lens prevents ghost images and flare effects on your pictures.

After months of searching I came across the FZ2000 from Panasonic as a replacement for my now 7 year old Nikon P500. And what a gigantic step this is, the AF of this camera is really sublime, where I often had to shoot extra photos with my P500 in case I moved just a bit, which is not necessary at all with this camera.
The color balance and contrast are also perfectly fine when you take a photo, post-processing for color-real photos is no longer necessary 9/10 times!
The touchscreen is a nice extra, so that you can easily change the focus if you take photos or film. In addition, the menu is also easy to operate.
In terms of functions, I am still not done learning, you do have a preset in the device for all kinds of situations, and as an additional advantage you can also shoot simultaneously in RAW. This allows you to adjust the photo completely to your liking if the preset does not turn out quite as you had hoped at home in a photo editing program (LightRoom, PhotoShop, etc.).
The viewfinder (oled) and the screen (led) are truly phenomenal, all details are clearly visible and this is very close to a DSLR in terms of viewfinder, thanks to the touchscreen you can also zoom in on your photos on details.
This camera also has WIFI so you can quickly share your photos with social networks everywhere. You can also control the camera remotely once it is on a tripod via the "Image App". The application works very well and have not had any problems with it yet
Professional filming is also a feature of this camera, although I didn't buy it for that, it is a nice option if I want to experiment with it later. The videos I made look very tight thanks to the 5-axis image stabilization!
If I have to mention a number of 'disadvantages', they are the weight and the sometimes a bit too extensive menu systems. Incidentally, that weight is not that bad when you see it in perspective.
Are you an amateur photographer or would you like to get a little more out of your hobby, but just like me don't feel like looting your savings account for the lenses for this?
Or are you fed up with that big camera bag and lenses? Look no further, this Panasonic FZ2000 will absolutely meet your expectations, with the nice extra that you also get a very good film camera with 4k film capabilities, ND filters and a mountain of software options.

Been looking for a long time for a camera that does what I want...to replace my old and unfortunately no longer supported Nikon (can't even download the latest old firmware anymore). This, and its smaller brother the FZ1000, quickly came into view. Finally opted for this one after my Nikon literally stopped... Initial experiences are extremely positive, taking a lot of photos on the fully automatic mode, and the results are astonishingly good. Taking photos by hand, even when you zoom in very far, produces perfectly sharp photos. The zoom range is (at least for me) perfect. The video from this camera is a completely new experience... Now slowly diving into the rest of the possibilities...and there are quite a few :-)

Nice camera, feels good in the hand. Battery life could be a little longer. A day of shooting and it's empty. Reserve is my advice.
