According to our gimbal expert
The GoPro Karma Grip for HERO 5, HERO 6, and HERO 7 is suitable for anyone who wants to make stable handheld images. With the control panel on the rod, you can make photos and videos and switch between different modes. You can temporarily block the tilting of the action camera by holding down the lock icon while recording. Do you want to use the stabilizer during a hike, mountain bike trip, or skiing holiday? Attach the Karma Grip to a helmet, bicycle, or backpack using a mount. The battery lasts up to 2 hours. The GoPro isn't included.

Recently I bought the Karma Grip, mainly to use on vacations. After vacations I make a vacation movie to show to family and friends. While walking and filming, I found the image a bit too jerky and a gimbal seemed interesting.
After a lot of research I came up with the Karma Grip, Feiyu Tech G5 and Removu S1. I have read from Feiyu Tech that support is less good and the stability seems to be less than the Karma Grip. The S1 had many interesting features, but is a bit more expensive and as far as I know not yet available in NL. In addition, I am happy with the quality of the GoPro Hero 5 and I have read good stories about the Karma Grip.
I've been using it for almost a week now and so far I'm happy with my purchase, although I won't be using it a lot until the next vacation. The Karma Grip feels good in the hand, looks nice and the image is very stable. My cat may have liked it less, I chased it the first few days to check the stability :-)
Over the weekend I continued to test in the car by means of a "suction cup" and also took it to the market hall. In the car I noticed that the Grip seemed to be slanted after corners and after a short time this was corrected again. After some research this turns out to be a "Horizontal Tilt" problem, about which there are videos on YouTube. It hasn't happened often so far, but I think it would be quite annoying if it happened more often. Hopefully they can fix this with a firmware update. In addition to this problem, the image and its stabilization were top notch.
In addition, I notice that the sound, because the GoPro is in a kind of harness, is duller than normal and I slightly hear something from the motor in the Grip that ensures that everything remains stable. This is mainly when it is a bit quieter in the environment/space. This only seems to be on the GoPro 5 (sound with H4B seems to be much better) because of the improved sound and seems to be "so good" that this is also being picked up. In GoPro firmware 1.50 this has been improved and the current fw is 1.55. For my holiday movies I often don't use the recorded sound because music is played over it, so I took this disadvantage "for granted", but I hope they can improve this in the long term.
After testing last weekend, I still had 3 out of 4 battery indicators after about an hour and I expect the battery to last for about 2-4 hours, depending on usage. Charging it seems to take 6 hours, but it is no problem at night.
Ultimately, I would recommend the Karma Grip based on my requirements/wishes. The audio downsides seem to have more to do with the GoPro 5 than the Karma Grip itself.
If you are looking for a gimbal that, for example, would last all day and where the batteries can be exchanged, look at, for example, a G5 or S1. Both last 8+ hours as far as I've read.

I had been looking for a stabilizer for my gopro hero 5 for a while. Found one at the beginning of December and tried it out, but without success. Vibrating noise from the motors clearly audible, and you couldn't operate the gopro from the stabilizer.
Now received the gopro karma and what a super product. Very user-friendly, super stabilization, easy to carry with the included case, and is super in the hand! So highly recommended!

Good product, does what it's supposed to do. A bit on the pricey side.
