This is my second Lumea. Before this I had a Lumea Advanced and so I can compare both. From the first one I already know that Lumea really does what it promises. If you have dark hair and not too dark skin ("olive" is definitely still OK!), if you are tired of ingrown hairs and many shaves, then go for it. It was one of the best investments I've ever made. A Lumea essential belongs to the cheaper Lumea's, but of course does its job just as well. I use this device to maintain the treatment (not that that is necessary anymore).

Once you've read the user manual, you'll be done with it in no time. This device can only be used with a cord, but on the other hand you can always use it: you don't have to wait for it to be charged (this was the case with my previous Lumea device and it sometimes interferes if you use the treatment more than one hour). It does not have a removable attachment, but with a damp cotton swab (soaked in some alcohol if necessary) you can clean it without any problems. In general, the device feels good in the hand, but in some places a little less well, also compared to the Lumea Advanced. (The price difference has to be somewhere, of course.) It then becomes more difficult to push the flash button. In any case, I would recommend that you get help if needed. Especially for e.g. the back of the thighs it is useful if someone else can flash!
