According to our television expert
Every movie scene comes to life with the Samsung UE55MU8000. This is thanks to the 10-bit panel and HDR support, ensuring the screen is extra clear and you can see more detail. Imagine a scene where a polar bear walks through the snow. You'll be able to see the minute differences between its white fur and the snow. Even when the bright sun is shines into your room. Thanks to the special Ultra Black Panel screen coating, you won't be as bothered by annoying reflections on the screen. This ensures you'll have a comfortable viewing experience. You can connect all your peripherals with the included One Connect Box, so you'll only need 1 AV cable to the TV.

I've been looking for a long time, OLED, QLED, 49 or 55 inch... I found OLED and QLED a bit above budget. Especially because my previous Sony KDL40 of 10 years old was also quite expensive at the time, and I now clearly notice that I've looked at it way too long! Technology advances so fast that you better buy a new one sooner (not really ecological I know...)
The image quality is really unbelievably much better than my previous TV, a lot better! And I'm just talking about Spotify HD content (I don't have a premium for 4K). Do characters suddenly look different? much 'however', the detail is so unbelievably good that it gives a bit of a 3D feel. (Or my Sony was so bad I'm not used to anything in that area) For me, this upgrade is huge! You read all kinds of things, but trust me, black is enough black on this TV. Anyone who does not have enough of this is a fanatic, a freak! ;) In a completely darkened room it is even very good. Yes OLED will be even better... but they are not next to each other in your living room! You really should not believe that your wife or something will notice a difference, you will only see that difference if you are purely on the lookout for it. Local dimming completely falls by the wayside in tests, but you don't notice it during movies either (only that freak looking for it again... )
I mainly chose the 8000 series because it has very good(=bad) reflection (https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/picture-quality/reflections-screen-finish-matte-and-glossy -> MU9000 calls it in US) We have a lot of windows, so we suffer a lot from light. You have to watch out for this, especially the cheaper ones are just pure mirrors so that you can hardly see in daylight. But I have to say that it is indeed not that bad on this TV. (Too bad that the ultra matte like the old Sony no longer exists, that was even better in that area)
I've also been debating between 49 or 55 inches for a long time. Viewing distance is >4m so absolutely no problem in that area (according to guidelines I have to put 82inch) but I wanted it to radiate nicely and not be a ridiculously large view. I have to say, 55 so close to the wall is not that bad, lucky I didn't choose 49! I also thought of the early days of 40 inch HD and analog content... then it was a disaster that they magnified all the errors so much. But with this 55inch and SD (not all channels are HD, and then usually only 720p) there is nothing to notice, everything looks good.
One downside: the sound... It's doable, but for me it's not really good. Sometimes for music it seems quite ok, but for voices (most important) it's not really good. A pity, but should really not be a reason not to buy this one, a soundbar/surround system solves that. (and I'm a bit more of a sound freak... )
The delivery had completely gone wrong. Device lost in transport or something? 2nd day even no notification of delivery .... I'm getting quite angry. But I have to say that CoolBlue's customer service really did their best to satisfy me. You feel that they attach great importance to this and do not just view you as an order number. Kudos to CoolBlue!

Sleek image and beautiful design, the TV hangs upwards. The remote control is very simple and compatible with the peripherals. Used to be three cabinets, now only one.-)
