According to our bike navigation expert
Are you an performance-oriented cyclist who constantly challenges himself/herself? The Mio Cyclo 605 HC is not only intended for mapping routes throughout Europe. With the included heart rate, cadence, and speed sensor you'll also learn more about your rides and fitness. Feel free to leave your smartphone in your pocket, because incoming calls and messages appear on the screen of the bike navigation. The built-in altimeter accurately records the height of your bike ride. This is useful when you go into the mountains. Would you like to see more information such as your route history, or would you like to share your progress on platforms such as Strava? The Cyclo 605 HC can be wirelessly connected to a computer thanks to the integrated WiFi.

The Mio device 605HC was perfectly replaced/exchanged for a new one, thank you for the perfect service!! However, the problem is not solved, this device suffers from the same problems. This is the email I sent to the Mio support department: In the meantime I have received a new device, which all went well. But the device continues to perform below par, battery is empty (according to device) after only 2/3h use. And when the device is connected to your charger when you get home, it immediately shows 100% again and the charging stops, I think the device thinks it is fully charged again. When disconnecting the charger while the device is on, you will see the battery drain. I only use the heart rate/speed and rhythm sensor. GSM / WiFi is not linked, screen resolution is at minimum and immediately goes to sleep so I have a minimum consumption I think.
At the Velofolies bicycle fair in Kortrijk (Belgium), where you have a stand, I spoke to a person in charge at Mio. According to this person, this problem would indeed occur on some of the devices and you are working on a software update that would solve this problem. I'm willing to wait for this update but I would still ask for the sale to be suspended until this is resolved.
Are there still people with the same problem?

After the cyclo 105HC, 305HC and 505HC purchased the 605HC because of the much more readable screen and the possibility of nodes. Screen is indeed much more readable in the sun, but I can't find the junction route option. Then you immediately have to deal with the 1st disadvantage of mio, the very concise manual, nothing to be found on the site either. If you know exactly what to do, it works "out of the box". The new magnetless sensors can only be connected when the wheel and pedal are turned. Without that knowledge, a few hours of frustration. Nothing in manual about this either. A big plus are the 3 physical buttons on the side. on/off, lap function and start recording. Linking with android phone went smoothly, so calls and messages via Mio. For calls, the Mio does not have a microphone or speaker, so headphones with a microphone are required. The handlebar attachment has not been improved compared to previous models, so bad. I recommend ordering a Mio Cyclo Out-Front Handlebar Mount right away, especially because the 605HC is a lot bigger and heavier than its predecessors. Some people will even find it too big/heavy. All in all, satisfied with the purchase, although the question remains whether the few points for improvement with an upgrade from the 505HC outweigh the high asking price.

Had the earlier model cyclo 505 (6 years), but due to a reduction in battery power and lack of memory, switched to this model cyclo 605. Top reason to stay with mio is the surprise me option (you give the number of km in/or how long) and you get 3 routes to choose from. Entering addresses and leaving is also no problem. All maps are already in the GPS and you will receive lifelong updates of the maps (cycling and hiking trails) that are added. Can also create routes or charge via cycloagent. Wifi and bluetooth (telephone connection) available (but of course also eats battery power) I use it for walking and cycling. Battery is of course not 15h as stated (but this has always been tested under the best conditions). Now a minus (but was solved within 10 days by Coolblue and Mio, thumbs up for that). Recently had to bring it in for repair because I no longer got a GPS fix and a new one has been replaced (by Mio). Probably bought a Monday model. All problems solved (gps fix within the minute (even indoors). So can definitely recommend this model.
