The straightener gives a strange burnt smell to my hair. This is independent of the heat setting. I've never had this with my previous remington straighteners.

According to our hair straightener expert
A lot of control: the flexible plates style your hair evenly, so you have a lot of control.
Create curls too: thanks to the rounded plates, you can easily create curls with this hair straightener too.
Heats up quickly: because the hair straightener heats up within 15 seconds, you can use it right away.
No ionic technology: this hair straightener doesn't have ionic technology that prevents your hair from becoming static or frizzy.
Less freedom of movement: you have less freedom of movement because of the relatively short 1.8-meter cord.
