After a long search we finally opted for the Kitchenaid Mini. What a great device it is. It is quite quiet, while mixing it stays neatly in place and also looks nice (that is of course personal taste) Have doubted between the Mini and the regular Artisan. The Mini is more than enough for me, do you bake a lot or for a large number of people, I think the Artisan is better. On the other hand, the Mini is also lighter in weight and more compact. So it's just what fits best within your own situation. It is a pity that there is no protection with regard to the mixer. When you raise this you can still turn on the mixer. For such a modern device I would have expected that there would be a protection on it, which is what is on the Bosch mixer. All in all I'm very happy with it and I'm going to have a lot of baking fun.
