Too much noise, too little power & unusable humidistat

The first impression was quite good. The device looks nice and feels quite solid. It also removes quite a lot of moisture from the air (canister full within a day). However, there are also a few major drawbacks that made us return it and will now try it with a qlima 625.

The device is many times louder than the advertised 47 db. We measure 57 db and that is quite a difference when you know that every 3 db means a doubling of the volume. In addition, the device is not powerful enough for the 25m2 space in which it is located. After 48 hours of non-stop dehumidification (350 watts per hour) with closed windows and doors, the humidity is at 60%. Admittedly, the moisture problem in this monumental building is quite large. The biggest problem, however, is the humidistat. This is influenced by the built-in fan. When the set humidity is reached, the device switches off, and then switches on again within a few minutes. This process continues to repeat every 5 minutes, so the unit dehumidifies for a few seconds each time, only to find out that the set humidity level has already been reached when the fan is running.
