According to our television expert
View realistic images with a powerful contrast with the LG OLED65B8PLA. The pixels of this OLED television can light up individually or become entirely dark. This makes black images truly black. View your favorite HDR images and watch the most subtle color or black shades come to life. Thanks to the Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG support, your TV will know what to do with nearly every HDR format. If you connect the TV with the internet, you'll gain access to useful smart functions. The WebOs operating system provides a clear menu that combines connected sources and apps such as YouTube. Grab the included Magic Remote and point at the screen. This way, you can quickly switch between your favorite types of entertainment.

Delivered the next day in accordance with expectations and fortunately by Coolblue's deliverers.
When unpacking, you immediately notice that the screen is not only huge, but also really wafer thin, so (almost) impossible to unpack, mount the base and place it on your own. It's all done in a few minutes, but if you have to do this alone, I'd definitely get it done for the 5 bucks more.
Installing is lightning fast and then you immediately notice that the remote control functions like the controller of a Wii, so you have to move your hand to move the pointer across the screen, but this is also possible with the regular push buttons. Connected three HDMI devices and then spent half an hour looking for HDMI 1, to which I had connected my KPN tuner. So it turns out that the TV just refers to this as a box and not as HDMI. So a learning moment.
I bought the TV not only for the movie experience, but also because I had hoped that the choppy picture when watching Netflix or missed TV would have disappeared with the 100Hz. This turns out to be a problem of the KPN tuner and Netflix is now connected via the Wifi. And then it is immediately noticeable that within Netflix everything goes many times faster than usual.
When watching movies, you immediately notice that you experience it as if it was filmed completely differently, so you experience it as if you are in the film yourself. Especially with a Blu-ray film and the TV setting "lively", this is a very special experience.
More than value for money and would really not know what an even more expensive TV in this format will provide in added value.

After 5 years, our previous TV needed to be replaced. Provided 4K TVs are now becoming more affordable and more content is available, this was a no-brainer.
After reading various online reviews, the LG OLED65B8PLA came out as the best in terms of price/quality/features.
What I really appreciate is that the surround sound is passed from HDMI to the optical cable; something you encounter less and less (HDMI ARC is used more for this). Our Sonos PlayBase can now perfectly play 5.1 content.
I personally find the Smart interface (WebOS) easier to work with than, for example, Tizen or Android, but I use these features less if there is an Apple TV on our device.
The device is definitely an eye catcher, the top is super thin and has a nice foot. The quality of the image is great, although you still have to adjust some settings for the best image (visible in another review here on Coolblue).
I am extremely satisfied with our purchase. Highly recommended!
