Sound according to the expert

The sound of the Momentum Wireless 3.0 places a strong emphasis on the bass sound. The factory settings of these headphones emphasize the low frequencies very emphatically, so that bass sound can't be missed. The frequency range responsible for the representation of instruments is balanced. This means that instruments and vocals sound like the artist finished the song in the studio. Do you like a different sound? Use the equalizer and adjust the sound to your own taste.

"Amazing NC headphones worth waiting for"

B Natzijl | 16 September 2019 | Color: Black

  • Pros:
    amazing sound
  • Pros:
    very decent NC
  • Pros:
    comfort
  • Pros:
    practical good working app
  • Pros:
    USB C
  • Con:
    price
  • Con:
    battery life

I was evaluation a new pair of Noice cancelling headsets for a while. Bose 700 vs Sony WH-1000XM3 vs Sennheiser vs etc. The just released Sennheiser Momentum 3.0 was the choice. The Sony might be better in NC and has great controls, the Sennheiser is arm lengths beyond the Bose and Sony when it comes to audio quality. The NC features are good although not as granular/sophisticated as the Sony or Bose. After testing all headphones, my choice is the Sennheiser Momentum 3. Amazing audio, great build quality, very decent NC, good simple app. Battery life is not best in class, but with USB C charging is pretty fast back in the air.

    Design
  • Pros:
    Resonating bass
  • Pros:
    Crystal clear mids and highs
  • Con:
    Battery life
  • Con:
A little bit heavier than other competitors
  • Con:
    Ears getting warm very quickly
  • Con:
    Mid-bass a little bit overpowering sub-bass
  • Con:
    Equalizer

One of the best sounding wireless headphones on the market for sure. Soundstage is great. They making music bigger and brighter. Of course they’re not perfect headphones for audiophiles, but for enjoying music in general they’re great sounding headphones. Build quality is on the top. Made In Germany. Period. The sound in general is not soft and rounded, but the bass is deep enough to resonate earcups (which is very impressive). The mids are clear and bright. Vocals are sounding very natural. Highs are also very clear and bright. I can say also some negative things about sound in general, but for the most people they’re more than great. Me personally using them without EQ, just in a flat mode and they’re sounding fantastic. My final words are: this is an another German quality product. You can never deny it!!!!
