According to our television expert
With the LG OLED55CX6LA, you can enjoy lifelike image quality. This TV has an OLED screen, which means that millions of pixels individually produce colors, light up, or switch off completely. This creates a powerful contrast between color and black tones. You can see every detail in the shadow, while black images are really black. Via artificial intelligence, the a9 Gen3 processor makes images extra sharp, colorful and smooth. Videos on DVD or YouTube videos are also of high quality because of this. The HDMI 2.1 inputs make the TV suitable for 4K images with 100Hz or techniques that are useful for gamers. The Variable Refresh Rate support ensures that games are displayed extra smoothly and that they're less sensitive to image errors, for example.

This TV has the best OLED panel currently available, and it shows! What a beautiful picture this TV shows. There are many options to adapt the TV to your personal wishes. And with the game mode, the input lag is so incredibly low that it is also a great TV to game on.
For me, however, there is one huge downside to this TV. The lack of the DTS license. This prevents the TV from transferring the DTS soundtracks of many movies to the AV in any way. I use eARC to bring the audio from my TV to the amplifier. So that I can also get audio from smart TV apps with my amplifier. However, there is no support for DTS. When I do play DTS content, I get an AC3 signal to my amplifier, which then upmixes it back to surround sound. So I get to hear fake surround, and in a much lower bitrate than the original audio with the video. This is very unfortunate. And doesn't do the sound any good with a lot of movies.
One way to get around this is external equipment. For example an nvidia shield tv. And connect it directly to the amplifier. And then let the amplifier transmit the image to the TV. But this effectively ensures that you do not use the smart functions in the TV. Which is very sinful. And you just need an amplifier that can do this. It's a shame to destroy all the HDR/Dolby Vision splendor. By connecting your external source to an amplifier that does not support it. (luckily my amp can do this). Another detour is to put a computer under the TV with a dedicated output to the TV and a separate output to your audio setup. But then you just have to have a computer that can send all this beauty to your TV. And not everyone will have that.
Do you only have Dolby content. Or do you not care that DTS is converted to AC3 at low bitrate? Then this is the perfect TV to buy. Do you care more about audio, especially DTS. Then you better skip this TV and put down more money for the Sony counterpart. This has the same panel, and therefore the same image quality, and is provided with a DTS license.
I am very hesitant to return this TV. Despite the insane quality of the image!

Thanks to the OLEDs, the image is super sharp and, above all, very clear where it should be bright. This makes it much more lively than an LED screen

When I had to unpack it, I was quite shocked at how heavy and fragile the TV was. Once installed, I was amazed by the quality of the image and the ideal gaming experience with the PS5. I am very satisfied with my purchase and the 55 inch size is perfect for the living room with a viewing distance of 4.3 m.
If you are further away from it, I would perhaps recommend the 65 ", but the price is 500 euros more expensive.
Beautiful thing and everyone who has come into contact with it thinks it is a great TV. Value for money!
