According to our television expert
The Samsung 49LS01T The Serif (2020) seamlessly blends into any modern interior. This stylish TV has been designed by two well-known designers, the Bouroullec brothers. You can transform the TV into a multi-functional piece of furniture by using the flat top to display books or other accessories. When you put your smartphone on the TV, both devices are automatically connected via NFC. This way, you can turn on Ambient Mode, which allows you to view art, photos, or useful information. At the same time, the TV can play music from your smartphone. No matter what you're watching, the QLED screen lets you enjoy bright and colorful images. Thanks to Apple TV sync, you can watch all movies and series in your iTunes library. You can stream these from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the TV via AirPlay 2.

The intention was to watch TV via the KPN App. That seems great in theory. Just connect power, install WiFi and you're done..... No! The App may be useful to watch TV on a phone or tablet, but the resolution is on TV. In the end the 4K modem was installed again, incl. distribution box, network connection, HDMI cable (again a new one because the "old" one was not good enough). In the end I made a temporary solution myself that I can "hang" behind the TV. In this way you still only see 1 cable from TV to the wall. Quite a chore to get this off neatly! I made a bracket, which I then clamped to the back wall. Everything hung on this. My biggest frustration is the sound quality. Precisely for this type chosen, because a "Frame" has no sound box and the power is double that. Sound is just bad! There is also a resonance in the cabinet/construction at a certain frequency. Super annoying on talk shows, for example. When I squeeze the bottom of the TV in the housing, it goes away for a while. Another miss, because I thought I didn't need a soundbar with this. Don't expect cinema sound either, but my 16 year old LC37X20E from SHARP was even of a better quality! The influence of light and sometimes haze in the screen is also disappointing. From an old Full HD to a 100Hz QLED is a smaller difference than expected. Of course there is a difference when you really have 4k sources. Settings of the screen are also not easy, but that is probably because you can set so much on it ;-). I haven't found the ideal values (yet). To know what you are doing: https://www.coolblue.nl/advies/hoe-pas-ik-de-beeldwaarden-van-mijn-samsung-tv-aan.html For that it is useful to know this. Incidentally, I think there is an overview of the most optimal representation in relation to the factory on the website of De Consumentenbond. I have not yet succeeded in setting sufficient light compared to "a completely white screen". Standard too dark, or a lot of white, then too light. IN SHORT: The design is great, but the pain of "just not a good TV for this money" is there.
