According to our soundbar expert
With the LG DSN9YG, you can listen to a detailed sound for your television. The set includes a soundbar and a subwoofer. This way, you create a 3.1 setup. If you want to listen to surround sound, purchase 2 rear speakers. Thanks to Dolby Atmos, the sound bounces off the ceiling to your listening position, so it sounds like you're in the middle of an action movie. Operate the soundbar via voice commands thanks to the integrated Google Assistant. You can ask the voice assistant about the weather or current traffic situation. Do you want to add multiple LG speakers? You can do this wirelessly thanks to the LG multi-room system.

The soundbar has a nice sleek design as I am used to from LG. This soundbar has noticeably more weight than my old sk8. This immediately gave me the expectation that the sound must be good, because it all feels solid. It is also a pity that there are no connecting cables such as HDMI for these prices. Of course, that's not just at LG. Brackets are included to hang the soundbar. Once unpacked and having placed the subwoofer, I needed some time to get the subwoofer connected to my soundbar. Something that should actually happen automatically. Disconnected everything again, waited a while and reconnected everything turned out to be the solution, because connecting by hand did not work. Coolblue states that you cannot connect with bluetooth, but you can. This also works well and I have also used it for some time to test it well. When switched on, it will automatically and quickly connect to the TV. I eventually switched to HDMI ARC, because this sound is more stable and clearer than via bluetooth. Although I was very satisfied with the bluetooth connection. There are a number of options to adjust the sound to your own liking, but in my opinion I notice too little difference. This could have been more extensive for me to fine-tune. The sound in itself with the Meridian is for me a real improvement compared to the sk8. The sound is full and with the AI the system chooses the best sound for the moment. There is a noticeable difference between the preset sound options such as music and movie. The sound only really comes into its own if you turn the sound up quite high. I can't make out that the sound is now coming to me through the ceiling. I can distinguish well whether a helicopter or explosion is coming from the right or the left. I think I'm going to expand with rear speakers. Google assistant works well. Small but: via the soundbar it only works if it is set to WIFI connection. Mine is set to HDMI/ARC automatically. Because of this I can only use google assistant when I press the button on the remote. What really bothers me personally (for others probably potty) is that the soundbar's display is off-center. I like symmetry and there is none of that here. Just like the cables. 1 cable comes from the left behind the soundbar and the rest from the middle. Had this done together, I could get rid of these tighter
Conclusion: Very satisfied with the sound. AI sound picks it up well. Connections work well and quickly. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this.
@coolblue, I can't add an image via my smartphone. The text link and + both do not respond.

Before I decided to buy this soundbar, I had a lot of doubts between this and the cheaper SL8YG; it has good reviews in terms of sound quality and it made a big difference in purchase price. That soundbar is also a lot lighter, which can be relevant if you want to hang it up (see below). In the end I went for the luxury variant because of the extra technology in the DSN9, and because I wanted to spoil myself a bit after a year on the cut.
The soundbar was neatly delivered in an insanely large box; impressive to see, but the amount of styrofoam that you immediately receive is actually outdated (although I can also understand that it is more pleasant for shipping to pack the soundbar & subwoofer in one box and well protected).
Connecting was initially a bit difficult because I initially wanted to do it without the Google Home app. That turned out to be such a hassle that I ended up just installing the app; after that everything was done very quickly and simply.
The physical installation was just as exciting; the wall bracket of my TV can carry up to 30kg and TV+soundar+extra bracket to hang the soundbar comes to 29.5Kg. It now hangs fine, but I notice that due to the extra weight and change of center of gravity, the TV has started to tilt forward. For people like me who have the TV with a swivel bracket on the wall and want to hang a soundbar under it, it is really important to pay attention to whether the combination is not too heavy. It goes well with me (exactly / just) but for a long time I kept the doubt whether I should have opted for a lighter model.
What I have no doubt about is the sound quality; insanely beautiful full sound. Especially when listening to music, this soundbar knows how to provide the entire living room (large room) with full sound without the volume having to be disturbingly loud.
The "cinema experience" with movies is "just" good. Obviously many times better than the TV speakers, but to be honest I don't think you have a better experience here than with sets of 300-400 euros.
Where you really get your "money's worth" is the AI that looks in the soundbar; an automatic equalizer that automatically adjusts the sound balance to the movie scene / music you play. This and the rather handy and well-functioning Google Home interface make the soundbar a very pleasant addition to the living room.
In short, as stated in the concise version: a good and above all very ingenious soundbar, but if you are struggling with the budget and/or have doubts about the capacity of your wall bracket, I would definitely go for a lighter / cheaper model. watch and listen.

LG 55” OLED TV and soundbar are on a cupboard with us. With a standard TV base, the soundbar is higher than the bottom of the screen. TV remote control does not work. Have to buy a separate higher TV base. Some settings only with LG app. Not a fan of Google home and we deliberately do not use it. Guide and secure cables with cable ties. That could be neater. I don't miss behind speakers (yet)
