For example, if you're working on your laptop on the train or browsing on your tablet at the campsite. You can use this MiFi router anywhere in Europe, but also in parts of Africa and Asia. Thanks to its speed of 300Mbps, you can use the connection to stream, share photos, or hold a video meeting. The integrated battery gives you a maximum of 6 hours online.

Prima werkende MIFI alleen heeft de dual band beperkingen

5Ghz band werkt alleen als je een lokale (4G) data sim gebruikt

Gekocht voor huis in Frankrijk. Lokale SIM er in en prima bereik, snelheid en eenvoudige installatie. Je moet wel nog aanvinken dat je 4G netwerken toestaat en dan werkt de 5Ghz band ook. Daar zit ook meteen het grote nadeel: de 5Ghz band werkt ALLEEN mety een lokale SIM. Bij roaming, of los gebruik zonder SIM heb je alleen de 2,4Ghz band. Dat is erg teleurstellend aangezien je ook zonder data verbinding gebruik zou moeten kunnen maken van de extra snelle router functies. Denk aan gamen of gewoon even snel data overzetten. Huawei zegt er het volgende over: "The mobile WiFi identifies the country based on the MCC of the SIM card. In roaming state, the country indicated by the MCC of the SIM card is different from the actual country. 5G WLAN channels vary greatly in different countries. To avoid regulatory issues, 5G WLAN is dimmed when there is no SIM card or roaming."

Het argument klopt natuurlijk niet want zodra je er een lokale kaart in stopt werkt de 5G wel, waar dan ook. Ze zouden dit met een update makkelijk ongedaan kunnen maken schat ik zo in.
